Cochrane Eyes and Vision has moved

We say goodbye and thank you to Richard Wormald, who has been Coordinating Editor for Cochrane Eyes and Vision (CEV) since it started in 1997, and who has been named Emeritus Coordinating Editor by Cochrane. 

A long-time contributor to the group, Gianni Virgilihas stepped into Richard’s shoes as the senior clinical Co-ordinating Editor for CEV. Gianni is a retinal specialist with extensive experience as a CEV authoreditor, and Coordinating Editor for the Diagnostic Test Accuracy satellite. He has recently been appointed as Clinical Professor in Ophthalmology at Queen’s University Belfast and will be joining our other editors – Professors Augusto Azuara-Blanco and Noemi Lois at the UniversityFrom April 1st, 2021, the editorial base for CEV moved from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine to Queen’s University Belfast. 

We would like to thank the Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Agency for providing funding for the move. CEV has been based at the International Centre for Eye Health since 2002 and we are grateful for the support of colleagues over the years and to NIHR for funding.
