Trial-level data included in our reviews

NEW! Making data extracted from studies for CEV systematic reviews available online

The Cochrane Eyes and Vision U.S. Satellite (CEV@US) is making trial-level data extracted for its reviews available online. This public data should be of interest to eyes and vision researchers and systematic review authors, including authors of current and future CEV reviews.

Why we are doing this:

  • Minimize unnecessary duplication of effort
  • Speed up systematic reviews done by others
  • Increase tranparency in CEV reviews
  • Highlight evidence gaps: what we wish we knew

CEV@US is funded by the National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. Data for CEV reviews supported by CEV@US will be made available 12 months after publication in accordance with the NIH open-access policy.

New data available as of August 2017

Acupuncture for glaucoma
Lens extraction for chronic angle-closure glaucoma
Neuroprotection for treatment of glaucoma in adults
Peripheral iridotomy for pigmentary glaucoma

SRDR

What is this?
CEV is making data available in partnership with the Systematic Review Data Repository (SRDR). The Systematic Review Data Repository (SRDR) is a powerful tool for the extraction and management of data for systematic reviews and meta-analysis. It also functions as an archive of systematic reviews and their data. SRDR is funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and was released to the public in June 2012. Read more about SRDR here. Systematic review authors can use SRDR free-of-charge to extract and manage data for reviews, as well as make these data public.

Why SRDR?
SRDR is open-access and data stored on SRDR are easily downloadable.

You can add your data too!
